About

In order to succeed in the workplace, it’s important for a person to build up their experiences even while they are still studying. Ron Ozer is an example of an individual who exhibited excellence even during his student days. Born in New York, Ron Ozer graduated as the valedictorian of his class at Tenafly High School in Bergen County, New Jersey. He then pursued his undergraduate degree in Mathematics with a minor in Economics at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology. During his college years, he started a number of entrepreneurial ventures, including filing a provisional patent for an e-cigarette type design in 2006 even before it became popular among consumers.

He also had internships at world-renowned finance companies Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers during his sophomore year. Ron also worked briefly as a research associate at MIT’s Sloan Business School. These experiences served as stepping stones in building his career after college. Ron Ozer finished his undergraduate degree in three years and was a Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society Member. After college, he worked at global investment and technology development firm D.E. Shaw & Co where he focused on trading natural gas. And from July 2015 to April 2017, he worked for Citadel as the head US Natural Gas Portfolio Manager.

A seasoned traveler, Ron Ozer lists Israel as his must-see destination. Born in New York, he considers Jay-Z as his favorite musician and the New York Giants as his favorite athletic team. When he is not busy with work, he enjoys exploring new places, playing the guitar, playing poker, and snowboarding.
